The Golfo Dulce features a spectacular sea world where you will find world class fishing, surfing and exploring. To sport fishing enthusiasts the Golfo Dulce is known world wide as a famous sportfishing mecca on the Osa Peninsula.

With pristine beaches and virgin forests the Osa Peninsula is considered the most bio-diverse area in the world and without a doubt, the most unique area in all of Costa Rica.The Osa is a place where jaguars still roam the jungle and scarlet macaws fly over head. You will not see this anywhere else in Costa Rica.

Accommodations

The Lodge: Cabinas Jiménez is located in Puerto Jimenez on the Golfo Dulce, "the Sweet Gulf", in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. The Osa Península is home to the world famous Corcorvado National Park which has been described as one of the most biologically intense places in the world by the National Geographic Society.Corcorvado National Park is the crown jewel of Costa Rica's park system.

So come and enjoy our comfortable bungalows located right on the waters of the Sweet Gulf. You can swim or sunbathe on our beach or just relax and enjoy the shade under the palm trees from one of our many hammocks. We are located a short 5 minute walk from downtown Puerto Jimenez on a quiet dead-end street. English and Spanish are spoken and we will arrange airport pickup.

Rooms: All the cabinas have been newly remodeled in 2004. Each room has a private bathroom with hot water, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Some offer refrigerators, coffee makers, water views from private decks and, the sunrises are spectacular!

Each room features paintings or murals from local artists and the furniture is custom made by Puerto Jimenez craftsmen. The headboards of the beds have been carved to depict the birds and animals of the Osa Peninsula.

Surroundings: The property is beautifully landscaped with tropical foliage and fruit trees and has many special spots to enjoy refreshing ocean breezes while you watch macaws and parrots fly over head every day. We are located on a quiet dead-end street just a 5 min. walk from downtown Puerto Jiménez and you will fall asleep listening to the gentle waves of the Golfo Dulce.

Enjoy spectacular views of the Gulf (Golfo Dulce) and the pacific Ocean that includes some awesome picturesque sunsets in deep reds and oranges that you will surely want to take pictures of.

In the town of Puerto Jimenez: There are restaurants for dining, 2 laundry services, 2 internet cafes, 4 grocery stores, a video rental store, liquor store, post office, and several gift shops.
There is also a Disco the ROCKS on the weekends.
